Professional Development School Network:
The Slippery Rock University Professional Development School Network is a collaboration including ten schools representing four school districts in Western Pennsylvania. The interrelated goals of our network are to improve pre-service teacher education, further ongoing faculty development, enhance student learning, and engage in continuous inquiry.
Teacher Quality Enhancement:
The Teacher Quality Enhancement Recruitment Grant will result in changes in the recruitment, retention, teacher education programs, classroom practice of K-12 teachers, and the induction of novice teachers in central western Pennsylvania.
The Center for Accomplished Teaching:
The purpose of the Center for Accomplished Teaching at Slippery Rock University, a collaborative network of professionals, local Universities, and P-16 partners that is based upon the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards core propositions, is to induct pre-service and novice teachers into the profession in an exemplary manner, to raise the professionalism and effectiveness of the region's teachers, and to refresh and invigorate the members of this teaching force throughout their careers.
