Women's Studies
Minor
In October 1983, university administration awarded approval for a minor
in women's studies to be given to any student completing a minimum of fifteen
(15) hours, six (6) hours at the 300 level or above, and having a grade
point average of at least a "C." In 1997, the University Curriculum
Committee approved the program's request to require that Introduction to
Women's Studies (94115) be three of the fifteen hours required for the
minor. Students can obtain a minor application from the Office of Academic
Records and Summer School. The form must be given to the director of the
Women's Studies Program, who will verify the accuracy of the application
and sign the form. The recognition that the student has earned a minor
in women's studies will be recorded on the student's transcript.
Women's Studies
Document of Academic Achievement
In May 1978, university administration awarded approval for a Document
of Academic Achievement in Women's Studies to be given to any student completing
a minimum of twelve (12) hours in Women's Studies and having a grade point
average of at least a "C." Eligible students may apply for the
certificate to the director of the program. If the minimum requirements
are met, the director will sign the Document of Academic Achievement and
forward it to the office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic
Affairs for countersignature.
