Transfer of Women's Studies Credits from Another Institution

If a transfer student wishes, women's studies courses at other institutions may be counted toward the number of hours required for the Document of Academic Achievement or minor in women's studies at Slippery Rock University. In such a case, the student will need to do the following:

1. Present in writing to the women's studies director a statement of intent to apply for approval of courses taken at another university or college.

2. Attach to this letter both syllabi and recommendations from instructors in these courses.

The faculty on the Women's Studies Committee will decide whether the proposed courses for transfer are equivalent to those presently offered at Slippery Rock University. After a reasonable time for the decision-making process, the student will receive a letter stating the decision of the faculty on the committee.
