NON-DEGREE GRADUATE STUDENT APPLICATION  FOR ADMISSION

This application will permit you to register for graduate classes as a non-degree student. The application must be completed and approved for each semester you wish to study as a non-degree student. If you are planning to earn a degree or teaching certification, you must use a different application.

Be advised, as a non-degree student you will not be classified as a degree seeking student; therefore, credits earned may not count toward future degree programs at Slippery Rock University. If you plan to apply to a degree program at Slippery Rock University, you are advised that you may not exceed a total of 12 graduate semester hours as a non-degree student. For graduate degree enrollment, applicants must submit a regular graduate application for admission (www.sru.edu/graduate).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This is not a "degree" application to SRU. Therefore, please note the following:

1. Non-degree applicants using this form are not eligible to receive federal financial aid.
2. No application fee is required with this form.
3. If you have been denied admission to the university, you cannot use this procedure as a vehicle to become admitted.
4. If you have been suspended from the university, you cannot take classes without first gaining written approval from your college dean.
5. First-time applicants for graduate courses must submit official transcripts of all previous undergraduate or graduate coursework prior to enrollment. Proof of baccalaureate degree conferral is sufficient for registration purposes.
6. This application form may not be used by international students.
7. A signature verification form (.PDF) must be sent to the Office of Graduate Admissions after you submit this application.
