SRU Faculty and Staff,

Information and Administrative Technology Services will be upgrading the University’s Exchange email system from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 during the week of August 24th. The impact on users will be minimal. The first phase of the upgrade will begin at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 25th and continue through Sunday evening of August 30th. The Faculty and Staff mailboxes will be migrated throughout the fall semester during the second phase. You will not see any differences in the e-mail system other than the below login screen until after your mailbox has been migrated. It will not affect end users who are using desktop clients for example (Outlook, Eudora ..etc).

There are many benefits of Exchange 2007 including better reliability, greater performance, more capacity, and new functionality – for example, enhanced usability for Outlook Web Access users.

No email will be lost as a result of the upgrade and email will be delayed only during the time an individual user’s mailbox is being migrated.

Please call the Helpdesk at (724) 738-4357 if you are experiencing any issues.
