1.       What is the User Account Maintenance Portal?

 

The User Account Maintenance Portal allows you to change/reset/unlock your password for your university computer system logon. It also allows you to set a pin number and secret questions so in the case that you forget your password, you will be permitted to change it.

 

2.       Where do I start?

 

You should select the option to “Configure the Maintenance Tool.”  By selecting that option, you will be able to set your pin number and answers to your secret questions, in the case that you forget your password and need to change it or have to unlock your account.

 

3.       What do I do if I forgot my password?

You should select the option to “Use the Maintenance tool.”  From there, you will be able to enter your email address, pin number and answer your secret questions so you can change your password, unlock your account, or validate your answers to the questions.

 

4.       What do I do if I forgot my pin number or want to change it?

 

You should select the option to “Configure the Maintenance Tool.”  From there, you will be able to retrieve your pin number and also change it.

 

5.       If I have any problems, is there someone I can call?

 

You may call the SRU Computer Help Desk at (724) 738-4357, or x4357 from on-campus.  The Help Desk’s hours are 8:00AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday during the semester and 8:00AM-4:00PM during the summer.

 

6.       Am I permitted to continue using my old password?

 

For security reasons, you may not continue using your old password.
