Learn how to make electricity from the sun!

pho·to·vol·ta·ic : (1) of, relating to, or utilizing the generation of a voltage when radiant energy falls on the
                                          boundary between dissimilar substances (as two different semiconductors)
                                    (2) the direct conversion of sunlight into electricity.

Join the Macoskey Center for a workshop that covers all aspects of photovoltaic energy systems, including the hands-on installation of an off-grid solar array for our new greenhouse.

Where: The Robert A. Macoskey Center,

When:  Saturday, March 31st,
              from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (see below for schedule)
Cost:    $15 / $10 students, lunch is provided

10:00 - 11:00  Pieces and Parts

11:00 - 12:00  Sizing - includes panels, batteries,
                                        and all electronics

12:00 - 12:45   Lunch (provided)

1:00 - 4:00        Hands-on installation of off-grid PV system
