Praxis Requirements

All education majors must pass the Praxis exams.  Before admission to the College of Education the Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Tests in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics must be taken and passed.  The Praxis I exams are available through either a paper-based or computer-based format. Both formats cover the same content and measure the same academic skills.

Currently  the Praxis II (content area) exams must be completed prior to student teaching.

More information on the Praxis exams is available at http://www.ets.org/praxis/.  At the Praxis website you can register for the exam and view the testing requirements for each area of certification
