All submissions for the Elizabeth R. Curry Poetry Contest
should be postmarked by or receieved no later than November 30, 2011.
Contest Details:
Submit up to three (3) unpublished poems with a $10.00 reading fee, which includes a two-year subscription.
Judge:
Kimberly Johnson is an NEA Fellow in Creative Writing, is the author of Leviathan with a Hook (Persea Books 2002), A Metaphorical God (Persea 2008), and the translator/editor of Virgil’s The Georgics: A Poem of the Land (Penguin Classics 2009). She teaches at Brigham Young University.
First Place:
$500 and publication in SLAB Issue 7
- and a limited edition handbound chapbook of the winner's poems.
Second Place:
$300 and publication in SLAB Issue 7
Third Place:
$150 and publication in SLAB Issue 7
Contest Rules:
All winners/finalists will be published in SLAB
All poems considered for publication
All manuscripts are submitted to the readers and judges anonymously
