Slippery Rock University offers the only Adapted Physical Activity undergraduate minor in the state of Pennsylvania! The minor prepares students with the proper knowledge and practical experience to professionally serve children and adults with disabilities in a variety of settings that encourage health and wellness. A graduate program in Adapted Physical Activity is currently being developed. The APA program expects to offer a Master of Science degree in Adapted Physical Activity that can be completed in three semesters (Fall, Spring, and a Summer internship). The application for this degree will be submitted to the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education for formal review, and results should be announced by mid-spring.
