Michael Dendis, 2001
- Hughes Supply Co. FL
Job description: I currently live in Orlando, FL and work for Hughes Supply, a large construction materials supplying company. We have branches in 38 states and I help support PCs all of the country. It is a good place to work and other than the occasional hurricane, a good place to live. Before I moved, I was working in Butler at Lifesteps, Inc. as a Network Administrator. I was prompted to that position after some hard work and independent study. I originally got the job because of the Mac skills and web design skills I learned at Slippery Rock. I decided to get away from web design, because in the position I was also required to do a small amount to IT\help desk type duties.

Job description: Based in Budapest, Hungary I am one of two communicators leading the Communications for GE Consumer Products Europe, with a focus on internal communications. This message, completely written by me, is sent out by the CEO - usually virtually unchanged. I am also responsible for writing and designing a number of other communications, with a heavy focus on community service communications. Additionally, I am a valuable asset to the company as a native English speaker correcting texts written by other employees here. I use skills every day that I learned from my time at SRU - my education there was priceless.
