Fast Facts

This
program is for students interested in an Education degree who are
transferring in with a cumulative QPA less than 2.8 or who are
current students with less than a
cumulative 2.8 QPA at SRU.

For
students with fewer than 90 credits, when a
2.8 or higher QPA is obtained, students must declare their desired
Education major.

Current students must apply to the College of Education no later than the
semester in which 75 credits is obtained, EVEN
IF ALL THE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT MET.

Transfer students with more than
75
credits must apply to the College of Education
during their first semester at SRU, EVEN
IF ALL THE REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT MET.

The
deadlines for application to the
College of Education are November 1(Fall semester), April 1
(Spring semester), and any time before the first week of classes in
the summer.

If students are
denied admission to the College of Education,
they will have one additional semester to
be accepted. If not accepted within that next semester, students
must then choose a different major.

Exploratory Education students will be advised by
Dr.
Darla Shields. Once
students obtain a 2.8 cumulative QPA, students will be reassigned to
an advisor within their selected program of study.
