Robert A. Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research: The Macoskey Center is an 83-acre facility on the campus of Slippery Rock University that promotes sustainability through demonstration, education and research. The center includes a wind turbine and solar panels, organic community and market gardens, a small woodlot, a composting research and demonstration project, and restoration ecology projects. Geology, Geography, and the Environment Club: G.G.E. club was created in the 1950s to enhance the awareness of earth sciences and to provide opportunities for students to get involved in their local, regional and global environment. We provide opportunities for personal growth and education within their field. In addition, its a great way to get involved and meet students and professionals in similar fields. Leave it Green Club: Leave it Green is a student established voice for environmental protection, education, and awareness.
