| Dialing Instructions | |
| On-Campus Calls | Dial the 4-digit extension number. Internal calls from the old system to the new system and vice versa are 4-digit on-campus calls. |
| Local Calls | Dial 9 / area code / phone number. (If the number is a long-distance or toll call, you will be prompted that the call is not authorized. Hang up and follow the long-distance procedures below. Please note that new local exchanges have been added in the new extended local calling area.) |
| Long Distance & Toll Calls | Dial 8 / authorization code / area code / phone number. Do not dial "1". Please note that your authorization code is now seven digits: 0 + your old authorization code. |
| Information Calls | Dial 8 / authorization code / 411. |
| Fax Calls | For on-campus, dial the 4-digit extension number. For any off-campus fax, dial 9 / area code / phone number. |
| Voice Mail and Passwords | You must set up your new voice mail box in order to receive
voice mail. To do so, dial 4000 from your new phone and follow
the prompts. Your temporary password is your 4-digit extension number. The first time you access voice mail you will be prompted to record your greetings and change your password. Simple passwords are not permitted. |
| Off-Campus Voice Mail Access | To access your voice mail from off-campus, dial 724-406-6400 only until all new phones on campus have been changed to the new system. Once the transition has been completed, dial 724-738-4000. (You can access the old voice mail system by dialing this number.) |
