Getting Started--

1.  Print the worksheet.

2.  Go to Step 1:  Web When?  Web Why?.

3.  Follow directions to work your way through the four steps.  Estimated time to complete the Internet tutorial--45 minutes.

4.  Return to Table of Contents if necessary.


Purpose:  What's the point?  

During your years at Slippery Rock University, you will have to do research to complete assignments, reports, and papers.  Learning how to use the Internet effectively will make these tasks easier.  Throughout your life, you will have a need to locate, evaluate, and apply information.  Becoming information literate is one of the most important skills a lifelong learner can acquire.
