ACCURACY

Three Signs You Are Not Drinking from the Internet Fountain of Wisdom:

1)  Obvious Errors--Misspelled words, links that don't work, and typographic errors indicate a general sloppiness and shoddiness that won't be found in reputable sites.

2)  Facts Cannot Be Substantiated, Verified, or Validated--Information varies wildly from that provided by "reliable sources," such as encyclopedias.  No comparable data can be located.  No bibliography is provided or sources, if given, cannot be located.  Sweeping generalizations are made.

3)  Authorship--As previously stated, Nuclear Physics by Jimmy, Washington Elementary School, is probably not the most scientific source for the information you are seeking.  No offense, Jimmy.

The only way to make sure a source is accurate (whether it is on the Internet or not), is to check the facts in other sources.
