Wireless Laptop Circulation

Laptop computers are available for checkout from the laptop circulation desk in the library basement.  Laptops are checked out on a first-come, first-served basis and are available for use with the Library wireless network only.  Laptops may not be reserved.  LAPTOPS MAY NOT BE TAKEN FROM THE BUILDING. Laptops circulate for a period of 2 hours or less.  Laptop circulation ceases at 11:00 p.m; hours may vary.

To borrow a laptop, you must have a VALID SRU ID, and must read and sign the Laptop Borrowers Agreement.  If the borrower has outstanding library fines or charges that prevent them from checking out other library materials, they will not be allowed to checkout laptops.

User files should not be saved to laptops and the library assumes no responsibility for files left on laptops.  Users are not able to install applications on the laptops.  Users may print to a networked printer in the laptop circulation area.

Users are responsible for loss, theft, or damage to laptops and accessories.  DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LAPTOP UNATTENDED.  In case of a library evacuation, keep the laptop with you and return it when you are permitted to re-enter the building.  Users will be assessed replacement and/or repair charges as deemed appropriate by the library.

Bailey Library Computer Lab

The Library computer lab is located on the third floor and houses 11 networked PC's for use by SRU students, faculty and staff only.  Users must have an SRU network account.  The lab is staffed by a trained assistant and open all regular library hours, closing 15 minutes prior to building closing.  Work directly related to an academic assignment has priority over recreational use.  Users are not permitted to use their own paper in printers and are limited to two copies of any document.  Find other computer labs and services on campus.
