Research Symposium Background
The
Submissions must have a faculty sponsor. Students who wish to participate in the Symposium should complete the online form available on the Center for Student Research website under the link “Register”. Students are asked to provide a 300-word abstract/summary describing the project. Note that the abstracts must be reviewed and approved by the faculty sponsor before being submitted. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Scholarly Endeavor, and the authors of these abstracts will have the choice of creating a poster for display or doing a 15 minute presentation of their project at the Symposium. Abstracts of work scheduled to be completed during the spring 2010 semester may be submitted as well. Please follow the registration form and refer to the link “Examples of student research, scholarship and creative activity” for sample abstracts from previous Symposium.
