Modern China Center was founded on January 20, 2008 at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
¡°The Modern China Center of Slippery Rock University, will focus on academic or research oriented areas. Major activities of the Center in the first two years include, but not limited to, the following:
- Promote China studies and cross-cultural collaboration through public presentations, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and a web site of the Center.
- Promote and coordinate on-campus research programs related to China.
- Develop off-campus learning and research activities related to China.
- Seek opportunities for external funding to conduct China studies.
- Facilitate exchanges of Chinese scholars and students to Slippery Rock and Slippery Rock scholars and students to Chinese higher learning institutions.
