Candice Clayton Kiser has recently been appointed Instructor of Clarinet at Slippery Rock University. In great demand as an orchestral performer, she is a member of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra (Virginia), and has performed with numerous ensembles such as the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Louisiana
Philharmonic, the Baton Rouge Symphony and the Evansville Philharmonic, among others. As a studio recording artist, Ms. Kiser has recorded diverse commercial, educational, and religious musical projects at studios in the Indianapolis area, including many projects for the Hal Leonard Corporation.
Candice holds the Bachelor of Music Degree in Clarinet Performance from East Carolina University, and the Master of Music from the prestigious Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. She also completed three years of post-graduate studies at Louisiana State University as a Board of Regents Fellow. Her principal teachers include Eli Eban, Nathan Williams, Steven Cohen, Alfred Prinz, and Richard Hawley.
