The Master of Education Degree in Environmental Education consists of 30 total credit hours. The hours are divided into Core, Professional Studies, and Professional Electives.

CORE (REQUIRED 12 HOURS)

Required Core Courses:

PREE 673 Ecosystem Ecology 3 credits
PREE 680 Environmental Education 3 credits
PREE 681 Environmental Issues 3 Credits

AND

PREE 750 Internship 3 Credits

 

PROFESSIONAL STUDIES (12 credits)

Selected from relevant courses in consultation with the academic advisor commensurate with career goals.

 


PROFESSIONAL ELECTIVES (6 credits)

Selected from relevant courses in consultation with the academic advisor.

Total credits necessary for completion of the Master of Education=30credits

In addition, the non-thesis program requires the presentation of two professional papers and a comprehensive exam.
