IS THE EXPECTED COMPLETION TIME FOR THE MS-PRM PROGRAM?

The M.S. in Park and Resource
Management program consists of 24 semester hours of courses
plus a 6 semester hour thesis, for a total of 30 semester
hours. Two program courses will be offered online each semester,
thereby allowing students to complete course work in four
semesters. Courses in the MS-PRM program are taught using
the Slippery Rock University virtual classroom and online
communication system.

maintain contact with your instructors by mail, telephone, and/or
computer communication. You will receive detailed guidance and
analytical comments on each of your required assignments. Additionally,
you will meet and have interaction with fellow graduate students
in the program through the communication tools built into each
class. |

A SPECIAL LOCATION TO COMPLETE COURSE WORK? |

All course work may be accessed
and completed using any internet (World Wide Web) connection
device (e.g., WebTV, personal computer, etc.). Individual access
to courses and course work is gained by utilizing one's user
name and password, both of which are assigned upon registration.
This security measure ensures that only the instructor can access
the student's work. |

Students have the option of completing a 6 credit-hour
thesis or participating in a 6 credit-hour internship.. Each
student selecting the thesis option will be individually advised
when choosing a research topic and emphasis will be placed
on producing professionally-relevant work to be published
and/or presented at a professional conference as appropriate
for individuals.

M.S. Online Park Resource Management program is offered via
the Web, the tuition rate for program participants is the
in-state tuition rate plus two percent, making the program
