1. GO TO CLASS!
Do not cut class and try to teach
yourself. The last five weeks of the semester are when the most important course
work is taught.
2. KNOW YOUR PROFESSORS.
Review the course outline and refer to
it periodically to make sure you are on track.
3. HAVE REGULAR STUDY
SESSIONS.
The best way to learn is to rehearse
on a regular basis. Set aside a time to review so you do not forget to review
the material.
4. BE PRACTICAL.
Decide how much time you really want
to study and divide it among your classes.
5. STUDY BRIEFLY AND
FREQUENTLY.
Frequent repetition is better for your
memory than overloading your brain all at once.
6. STUDY WHEN YOU ARE ALERT.
Most people work best in the daylight
so use the hours between classes and other times during the day wisely.
7. STUDY YOUR MOST DIFFICULT
CLASSES FIRST.
You are most alert when you first sit
down to study, so it will be easier to learn the hard stuff first.
8. TREAT YOURSELF.
When you complete your work, reward
yourself with something simple like a magazine, TV, or a movie.
9. STAY ORGANIZED.
Do not let work pile up because it can
become an overwhelming task.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!
