Devi Lockwood
Centripetal Motion

For the gold-digger,
life is dank dirt

and desolation.
Deliberate solitude crumbles
between white canvas gloves
(a ring).
He is nothing more than

camouflage
kneeling before a promise,
inaudibly
probing the world
for perfection.
